Scotland 2030 Programme: Our Environment

21 June 2017 at the Scottish Parliament, 6pm to 7.30pm

The Scotland 2030 programme continues with a discussion of our environment. A healthy society and culture depends on a healthy environment, and this event will explore Scotland’s relationship with our environment and ask what it should look like in 2030 to ensure a just and sustainable future for us all.

Sustainability expert Heidi Hauf from Forum for the Future will give us her views on the ideal relationship between society and environment, followed by reflections on what this might mean for Scotland from world-renowned landscape photographer Colin Prior. The event will be chaired by Claudia Beamish MSP as Futures Forum director.

Context will be provided by new research from Dr Stephanie Smith from SEFARI on how Scotland’s environment might change over the next decade and a half.

A buffet dinner will be provided after the event, along with an opportunity to discuss the issues informally with other guests from the Futures Forum’s network.
